The Crasche® Figure Skating Middie is designed to help protect skaters in the event of a fall. The Middie protective elements are made up of an outer layer of strong polycarbonate plastic, and an inner layer of skin friendly neoprene rubber. The protective element is 2.25 inches high, and the Middie has a soft cotton terry layer next to your the skin. Remove the protective elements before washing.
Note: The two rear protective elements are 3.5 inches high. This is to help protect the back of a skaters head in the event of a fall.
NOTE: THE MIDDIE MUST BE WORN WITH THE TWO REAR PROTECTIVE ELEMENTS POINTED UP TOWARD THE TOP OF THE HEAD.
Size: Large - 22.2" to 23"+ circumference
Proper fit is very important with the Crasche Middie.
To determine your head (hat) size, measure your head as shown on the right, using a flexible tape measure, starting at the middle of your forehead. Measure circumference of head just above top of ears. Wrap tape gently around head making certain tape lies midway on top of your occipital bone (that little bump in the middle of the back of your head).
Note: For a tighter fit, remove the two protective inserts that are next to the two larger rear inserts. Then re-insert them with the wide side up. This will reduce the size by over one
