This position will support the GSMO program and is loced Erbil Air Force Base, Iraq.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an GCCS-J Systems Administror to support the installion, configurion, administrion, maintenance, and operional readiness of mission-critical systems within a Department of Defense (DoD)/ Department of War (DOW) environment loced Erbil Air Base. This role is responsible for managing enterprise IT infrastructure, supporting GCCS-J systems, implementing best practices, and ensuring system reliability, security, and performance across virtual environments.
The ideal candide will possess advanced technical expertise in Windows and Linux systems administrion, PowerShell automion, DoD cybersecurity compliance, and GCCS-J operional support. This position requires strong troubleshooting capabilities, the ability to manage complex technical projects, and collaborion across multiple technical and operional teams in a deployed operional environment.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot GCCS-J software and supporting infrastructure.
Support Windows 11 systems opering within DNS and Active Directory environments.
Perform system audits, readiness assessments, and pre-deployment system checkouts for GCCS-J plforms.
Monitor and maintain enterprise systems performance, identify anomalies, and resolve operional issues.
Implement DoD pch management and vulnerability remediion processes and tools.
Configure and manage Windows DHCP, Group Policy Objects (GPO), and PowerShell-based administrion tasks.
Manage system backups, recovery operions, storage allocion, and infrastructure optimizion.
Support and maintain Linux/Red H Linux systems and associed services.
Troubleshoot networking and connectivity issues utilizing a strong understanding of TCP/IP networking principles.
Support Agile Client / Komodo environments used for accessing GCCS-J services, including middleware and backend applicion services.
Coordine with internal technical teams and stakeholders to implement system improvements and resolve technical challenges.
Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity and operional standards.
Required Qualificions
Bachelor’s degree in Informion Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or reled technical field.
8–12 years of relevant professional experience, or: additional experience in supporting mission-critical defense or command-and-control environments may be accepted in lieu of degree. Or, a Master’s degree with 6–10 years.
Active Top Secret (TS) clearance prior to start de.
Current DoD 8140 IAT Level II certificion (Intermedie or Advanced), such as CompTIA Security+.
Minimum 5 years of IT and network administrion experience within DoD environments.
2–5 years of experience supporting and analyzing GCCS-J systems.
Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting GCCS-J software and systems.
Strong experience working within Active Directory and DNS environments.
Hands-on experience with:
Windows DHCP
Group Policy (GPO)
PowerShell scripting and automion
Remote workstion and server management
Experience conducting system audits and operional readiness evaluions.
Knowledge of DoD pch management and vulnerability remediion processes and tools.
Understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
Experience supporting Agile Client / Komodo environments and reled middleware/applicion services.
Experience administering Linux / Red H Linux 8 systems.
Experience administring VMware systems and services
Preferred Qualificions
Advanced troubleshooting and systems integrion experience across multi-domain infrastructures.
Previous overseas deployment or experience working in austere operional environments preferred.

This position is based Erbil Air Base and supports mission-critical operions in a highly secure, fast-paced deployed DoD environment. Candides must be comfortable working in an overseas operional setting, supporting 24/7 mission requirements, and collaboring with military personnel, government civilians, and contractor teams. The role may require extended hours, on-call support, and adherence to deployment and security protocols.
