Condition notes:
Removed after intermittent no-start.
Found loose screws at the brush holder plate leading to arcing/erosion at the contact interface (photos show the affected areas).
Light cleaning has it functioning again, but it should be treated as a repairable unit: clean up the contact surfaces more and replace the end-cap screws.
