For sale is a very rare set of Recaro seats - either LA or LS model, not positive - with the desirable netted headrests. These came out of a Mustang Pace Car, Fox body, eons ago. I chose to restore these with the elusive "Caramel" color option that was offered by Ford but rarely chosen. Most of the Mustang Pace Car seats are black with gray/black centers. These were rebuilt using the exceedingly rare factory correct cloth that I don't even know if you can get anymore.

This was a long, tedious process to get these redone. My first upholstery guy retired due to medical issues after he had assembled all of the materials; he handed me the cloth ready to install but the seats were disassembled with the bare foam exposed. They then went to my other upholstery shop, and in the middle of all of this, I literally moved out of state. As such, there are some things I wasn't thrilled with when they arrived that I wanted to disclose:

- The headrests were dyed to match but it is not a perfect match. It's close enough, in my opinion, but you may want to try and get it more accurate. My upholstery shop said they tried in earnest to get it right, and I believe them, but they did not want to keep trying given I wanted these done and in my hands.

- The seat back adjustment cable mechanism that's operated via the button-style switch on the side of the backrest does not work. This is a bummer as I asked my guy to get it functional but I suspect he was tired of me calling every three weeks for an update. The backrest does adjust via the rotary knob with no binding or other issues but if you're in a coupe and want to just pivot the backrest forward via the button switch, it does not work.

All the netting under the seats was replaced. All hardware for the plastics was replaced. The actual upholstery work is excellent. The seats feel firm and tight when you sit in them. I do have the original Mustang floor brackets that will be included if you want them. Otherwise, these are ready to bolt into the 70s/80s sports car or truck with the mounting hardware of your choice.

I am happy to negotiate with serious buyers and answer any questions.
