This full size dreadnought Guild is all solid mahogany and sounds gorgeous…very resonant and powerful, especially in the bass range.
It ticks all the right boxes, being in extremely nice original condition but with some pro luthier upgrades made during a later setup, including a Tusq saddle and bone pins. The strings are new D’Addario 12s. The neck is straight and true, with no buzzes, rattles, “wolf notes” or doubles. The action is very low; right at the minimum for acoustic guitars, making it a joy to play.
The original Guild sealed tuners work perfectly and the guitar holds its tune very well.
It is a pure acoustic with no cutouts for electronic equipment.
The outfit includes the original Guild domed top hard-shell case with five clasps. The exterior shows a few bumps but is structurally perfect with a lovely burgundy pile lining that cradles the instrument perfectly…not surprising since it is factory-matched and original to the guitar.
