2 Dairy/fiber goats for $250 - $125 (Davidsonville)

I have two nigora (fiber and dairy breed) goats to sell as a pair: a ready to breed female, from a dam who produces a quart per day when sharing with the kids and a sire with good milk lines. I am selling her with a companion who is also female but has extra teats (may cause milking and nursing complications). Her fleece is much thicker, shearable and good for crafts, while the breedable doe has a finer, comb-able fleece.
Separately, I would sell the breeding goat for $200, and the companion for $125. As a pair, they are $250.
Reasons to choose nigoras:
1) Milk – Like their Nigerian dwarf parent breed, Nigora does can produce 2+ quarts of delicious milk per day when lactating. I am getting over a quart per day on milk share. You don’t need a fancy setup to get milk!
2) Fiber: Nigoras produce cashmere-type wool for crafts and fiber arts. Unlike their Angora parent breed, nigoras shed their wool in the spring. You can comb or shear it then, or – if you don’t want to deal with it – let it shed naturally to be collected by the birds.
4) Brush clearing: My goats are all trained to electronet and love nothing more than chowing down on bramble, rose, poison ivy, porcelain berry, and other overly eager shrubs.
