On Friday, November 7, 2025, from 12:30 p.m. EST to 3:30 p.m. EST, we will be holding a focus group using the ZOOM application software. It is a mock jury where people will give their opinions of a case. The pay is $50.00 and will be paid through PayPal or via a check (whichever you prefer). All backgrounds are encouraged to apply, but all participants must be able to understand/speak English and must be a current resident of Maryland.
Current residents of Anne Arundel County are preferred for this specific mock jury, but residents of other Maryland counties are welcome to apply.
Requirements:
1. Answer the below questions IN FULL and respond via email. Applications without complete answers WILL NOT be considered. All answers should be serious – for example, “me” is not a valid answer to your political affiliation, nor is “human” a valid answer to your race.
2. You must have a stationary webcam and reliable internet connection to participate.
3. You must be eligible for actual jury duty – at least 18 years old, a U.S. citizen, a current Maryland or resident, and able to read, write, and carry on a conversation in English.
4. If you are selected, you will be asked to provide a current valid US driver’s license or other government-issued ID as proof of your identity. Applicants who cannot provide a valid ID WILL NOT be considered.
