This is a 1990 Carrera 4 with the rare D. Moris hardtop conversion. It's a very high quality top that costs roughly $10,000 to import from France, and that's before the labor to install it. I chose this 911 because of the previous maintenance history (viewable here: https://thecommongear.com/vehicle/1990-porsche-911-c4-cabriolet) and because the Dark Blue color would mask the hardtop lines almost perfectly without the labor involved with maintaining black paint. Happy to report my plan worked perfectly. The hardtop really is a work of art, with OEM glass and gaskets and no rattles/unruly noises. It has made the car infinitely more fun to drive. I still give thanks that it arrived from France in one piece.
This is a rust-free car with perfect bodywork around the troublesome windshield frame. However, this is a driver. If you are looking for a pristine 964, they are often found on Bring A Trailer for $110-$120K. The beauty of this car is despite some cosmetic wear and tear, it drives phenomenally well. If I didn't have young children and some investment opportunities I'd like to pursue, I would be driving the doors off of it in rallies and other events that it's absolutely perfect for.
I have owned it since Sept. of '23 so my time with it has been somewhat limited. It has not asked much of me maintenance-wise. You can see my records and those of the previous owners in the link above. The previous owner performed a great deal of servicing in his time with the car, including replacing the oil cooler that resolved most of the leaks. It weeps very faintly in the winter when it doesn't get out much. When I am driving it regularly in the warmer months, I see next to no oil residue on the ground.
The dashboard was cracked when I bought it and it still is. However, I did procure a NOS dashboard that will be included with the sale assuming the asking price is met. The original D90 wheels (on new tires), airbox, and muffler will also be included.
