Boat was originally a waterman deckboat used for pound netting, crabbing, oystering, and offshore wreck fishing. During WWII it was commandeered by the Navy for shallow water submarine and mine detection (equipment still on board and believed to be working).
Last haul out was in May 2022 at Walden Brothers in Deltaville where new zincs, aluminum oxide galvanization barrier coat placed on below water metal, bottom paint, packing repacked. Hull is 2 5/8 inch fir over oak beams. No hull re-caulking was needed as the boat is tight and has slow water intrusion. Bilge pump only occasionally comes on. Topsides painted but as can be seen some rust bleed through has occurred at some ferrous fittings. Equipped with a chain driven auto pilot. Diesel oil and fuel filters changed in the spring.
Tankage: two 150 gallon diesel
