Moving out of state, and thinking about selling our sweet and easy cabin cruiser.
The TLDR here is:
- 1995 Monterey 256 SEL with a 5.7 Merc
- Attached are some photos, but about to get it cleaned up some more and will add more photos soon
- It was recently surveyed/appraised at $19k, so we're pricing this for a potential quick sale
The longer description is:
Purchased May 2025 and enjoyed regularly since — well-maintained and ready for its next owner. We believe we're the third owners, all local to the Bay.
Engine: 5.7L Mercruiser Alpha I/O, 260 HP — believed to have been replaced by a previous owner. Starts every time, no issues. Note: the throttle is aftermarket and occasionally sticks between neutral and forward/reverse — that's the only quirk we've found.
Maintenance: Fully surveyed a few years ago by an Accredited Marine Surveyor ($19k survey). New bottom job and engine tune-up completed this past winter — full, clean bill of health. Regularly serviced by a mechanic.
Condition: Very good for its age and price point. Some seats show normal wear with a few patches, but the cabin is in excellent shape, featuring custom teakwood flooring. Everything is operational.
Misc: No trailer included. There is actually a full enclosure, but we just don't have it up (all isinglass is in good shape). A/C in the cabin that works really well, which isn't common for this era/size of boat.
We're not in a rush to sell — happy to consider offers, but if we don't get the right one, we'll likely keep her and bring her with us on an out-of-state move.
