This is a complete, like-new hardcover 12-volume set of the Arno reprint edition of "The Rebellion Record: A Diary of American Events." First published from 1861-1868, these rare volumes include "documents, narratives, illustrative incidents, poetry, etc." about the Civil War as it was happening. Included are fold-out maps and many, many illustrations. Whether you're a student of the period or just a reader interested in these original-source documents, you'll find that these volumes bring the Civil War period to life like no other set of books.

For the most part, these volumes remain unread, so are in excellent (near mint) condition. I subscribed to them just as I was starting a family and could just never find the time to read them. These volumes, if you can find them, typically go for 40-$60+ each.
