This fabulous 1920's Bridge arm floor lamp has many stunning features including a marbled ball at the center and art nouveau motifs.
These lamps are becoming very recognizable and this is from one of the higher quality manufacturers of the era. The base is signed ARTISTIC BRASS & BRONZE WKS N.Y.C. As more the public is educated about these lamps, the greater their value increases. As of now, they are undervalued and not well understood. But not for long. This lamp is 100% original and in excellent condition. See photos for details, in particular the one looking into the socket. There should be 3 brass screws to hold the shade in place but there is only one, however these are easily replaced.
Please note that I have not polished this lamp as some may want a certain amount of patina, so I leave this to the buyer
The lamp was rewired at some point in time and, aside from the need for a shade, it is ready to use! There are many shades available for this type of lamp, especially on Etsy, so I determined it was best to let you choose the shade to suit your interior. The bulb is not included unless requested.
What makes this a "Bridge" lamp is the ability to adjust the direction of the light with the hinge just above the decorative bulb holder. When it is set at approx. a 45 degree angle, it is 12-13" wide from the center of the lamp stand to the end of the bulb holder.
57 1/2" tall
9" diameter bronze base
This is a wonderful lamp that would work well with antiques as well as in a more eclectic space.
