This is part of a small collection of typewriters my father started years and years ago. Now time to give this Royal portable -- which I believe is a Model O from the 1930s, early 1940s -- a new home. It is in excellent condition. Its shiny finish doesn't convey on the cellphone pix. And yes it works. It was displayed from time to time, typically around national holidays, since my father would comment that he saw writers using this model during WWII in France. I believe he purchased it in suburban Philadelphia in the late 1940s. It is highly collectible and I'd like to find a good home for it in the Maryland, DC, Virginia area.
